Keeping busy w/o wifi
I’m so internet dependent. The wireless just crashed at Coffee for the People. Now what? Listen to mp3s? Check. Create text version of resume. Check. Write in Word what will soon be published in my blog? WIP.
Yesterday was mad awesome. Erin and I walked from Haight, through Golden Gate Park, to and through the Presidio, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and wound up in Sausalito. We took the ferry back to the Embarcadero and ended our adventure at All You Knead where Will speedily delivered us chicken sandwiches. We were on tap to eat our own flesh had he not. That kind of hunger makes for good chicken sandwiches. All I needed was something sweet and found a cake in the kitchen once we got home. Go Grandma Ryan. All in all, we walked nearly 10 miles in beautiful San Francisco weather. Outside of being accosted by undercover Krishnas at Vista Point, walking along side speeding cars on a highway with no sidewalk for about a mile, not knowing where we needed to go to catch the ferry, and encountering a cracked-out schizophrenic who attempted to take Erin’s ferry fare, we made out pretty good - even if we gave some poor kid bad directions along the way. Hey, that’s why you buy a metro map. A lesson Ross and I learned after two days of wandering the city, stopping near every bus stop to regroup.
BTW, here’s the roommate breakdown:

Erin
My adventure partner, Penn State grad, and barista extraordinaire (if anyone needs the best cappuccino everyday – acquaint yourself with Erin). Anyway, Erin is an incredibly happy, well adjusted, intelligent, confident and fun woman. Yay Erin!
Will
Will + TV + Couch = Satisfaction. Outside of being the principle clicker controller, Will is our household multi-instrumentalist. A Berklee College of Music grad, Will has an opinion on every genre and every band. Will works at All You Knead, a restaurant a block away from our flat. He’ll be a rock star one day.
Josh
Our neurotic science teacher. Josh can tell you more about marine life than anyone I’ve ever met. And if you need advice on what martial art to pursue, Josh is your man. I am secretly devising a plan to somehow transplant his hair to my head. I’ll let you know how that works out. Josh’s dream is to film science documentaries and sell them to various PBS stations. Eccentricities are abundant and entirely entertaining for those who know him.
Ryan
An ex-broker turned waiter, Ryan is affectionately called Grandma. He cooks, cleans and asks if you have enough warm clothes before you go outside. Even if you plan to clean something at some point, chances are Ryan beat you to it. Homemade therapy. Incredibly generous, he drinks Bud, grew up in Georgia and will have dreads as of next week. We’ll see how that goes.
